1 Who we are
Ping1 ("we", "us", "our") is a network monitoring application available on Android and iOS, developed and operated by Arios Web Technologies. Our registered contact address is support@ping1.in.
Our website is https://www.ping1.in. This Privacy Policy applies to the Ping1 mobile application, website, and all related services (collectively, the "Service").
2 Information we collect
2.1 Account information (via Google Sign-In)
When you sign in with Google, we receive the following from Google:
- Google Account ID (unique identifier)
- Email address
- Display name
- Profile picture URL
We do not receive your Google password at any time.
2.2 Profile information (provided by you)
After sign-in you may optionally provide:
- Mobile phone number
- WhatsApp number
- Physical address
These fields are used for account verification during the admin approval process.
2.3 Monitoring data
You voluntarily add monitoring targets to the app. For each target we store:

2.4 Monitoring results
For every check we perform we store: status (UP / DOWN / UNKNOWN), response time in milliseconds, error message (if any), and timestamp. This data powers your dashboard and uptime history.
2.5 Device & notification token
We store your Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token to send push notifications. This token changes periodically; we always use the most recent one. We do not read any other device identifiers.
2.6 Usage data
We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers, or behavioural tracking tools. We may log server-side errors (without personal data) for debugging.
3 How we use your information

We will never use your monitoring target data (IPs, domains, ports) for any purpose other than performing the checks you configure.
4 Third-party services
Ping1 integrates with the following third parties to deliver its functionality:
Google LLC
- Google Sign-In (OAuth 2.0) — authenticates your identity. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — delivers push notifications to your device. Governed by Firebase's Privacy Policy.
Cloudinary (Cloudinary Ltd.)
Used to store the splash screen image uploaded by administrators. User personal data is not sent to Cloudinary. Governed by Cloudinary's Privacy Policy.
Email / SMTP provider
If daily digest emails are enabled, your email address and monitor summary are transmitted to the configured SMTP server. The SMTP provider is configured by the system administrator and is not necessarily a fixed third party.
5 Data storage & security
Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on secured infrastructure. In-transit data is protected by TLS/HTTPS. We implement the following security controls:
- Passwords are never stored — authentication is exclusively via Google OAuth.
- JWT tokens expire within 15 minutes (access) and 7 days (refresh).
- Admin tokens expire within 8 hours.
- All API endpoints are rate-limited to prevent abuse.
- Database credentials, API keys, and secrets are stored as environment variables, never in source code.
Despite best efforts, no system is 100% secure. If you discover a vulnerability, please report it responsibly to security@ping1.in.
6 Data retention

When you delete your account all personally identifiable data is permanently removed within 30 days.
7 Your rights
Under applicable Indian law (Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023) and where relevant, GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — update inaccurate profile information directly in the app.
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and all associated data.
- Portability — receive your monitor list and history in a machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent — unsubscribe from digest emails at any time by contacting support.
To exercise any right, email privacy@ping1.in. We will respond within 30 days.
8 Children's privacy
Ping1 is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at privacy@ping1.in and we will delete it promptly.
9 Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via push notification or email.
Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
